Chance Encounter

Chance Encounter is a limited edition of 10 pieces, plus two artist’s proofs, created for Galerie Kreo. The console sees material elements meet as geometric forms in composition – belonging to each other, yet visually deconstructed. A marble top cantilevers over a solid wood frame that disappears beneath a brass-rimmed circle appearing to float off the wall. The wood frame re-emerges as a telescopic leg – a geometric play in which a square is rotated within a square.

The console was originally conceived as part of a series of tables designed to present a special edition of shoes created by Doshi Levien for Camper, shown during the 2013 Milan Design Week.
